While not all schools will have access to, or will have the budget for this system, the ClassVR system appears to integrate Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Mode into a classroom. The inclusion of the classroom planning tools would allow for teachers to collaborate with other teachers globally, and the ability to 'rebuild' places, artifacts or time periods is invaluable to assisting students learning, particularly in history classes. This is an interesting development in the application of technology in the education platform and I am interested in learning more.

The potential of VR in the learning environment is something that I had not previously considered. However, after reading the article VR's applicability in the geography classroom is evident. The indication that learners are becoming less engaged in the traditional classroom due to the technical advances prompted a clear need to include technology in creative ways to support the modern learning style.
VR in geography may allow students to view landscapes, environments and the experiences of others globally where otherwise this would be unachievable. For instance, a lesson using VR could be structured to allow learners to wander to streets of a foreign country. In a society that is currently trying to navigate COVID, this would be impossible. Even prior to COVID, it would have been highly unlikely students would have engaged with different geographical landscapes first hand. Using VR students could witness the experience of diverse races and social interactions based on geography/place. Learners could develop empathy and understanding of the world around them. VR allows for the redefinition of learning by creating opportunities that could not have possibly existed prior.
