Why Digital Transformation Won't Succeed Without Cultural Change | #ICT #Infographic #Digitalisierung | Distance Learning, mLearning, Digital Education, Technology | Scoop.it
A lot of businesses frequently use the term Digital Transformation, but what does it actually mean?

We have become so accustomed to digital technology, we are no longer able to imagine life without it. And yet, when it comes to the digital transformation of the work environment, we still have a long way to go. The greatest obstacle for digital transformation is simply, people.

Make digital transformation a capability, not a project; transform operations not just customer experience #hbrwebinar @gwesterman

— Parag Gogate (@paraggogate) 18 août 2017

There are a number of things that don’t have to do with technical innovations that are going to make the process more complicated. That’s not to say that creating the proper infrastructure to accommodate the rapid pace of development is not going to be a major issue in and of itself. But a number of key factors in implementing digital solutions are related to people. And while is relatively easy to change and adapt to new technology, people are not.

Many global companies start to realize their business will be mostly digital within the coming years, but not many are really interested in dealing with the digital transformation.

New Data: Which Popular Media Sites Succeed With Certain Audiences? [infographic] | Distance Learning, mLearning, Digital Education, Technology | Scoop.it

Which domains have the most engaged audiences in five verticals: women, politics, business/finance, science, and technology?

To determine the top publishers, we used BuzzSumo to retrieve the sharing metrics on more than 30,000 relevant articles between May 2014 and April 2015 relating to the five verticals mentioned above. In total, these articles earned more than 58 million social shares. We used BuzzSumo to retrieve the top 1,000 articles in each vertical that were published between May 4, 2015 and April 30, 2015 as well.

With this data, we identified the 10 publishers in each vertical with the highest number of total shares -- and learned a lot about content promotion along the way. In this post, we’ll walk you through six key takeaways from our findings that'll help you maximize outreach during your next promotions cycle...

Survey data about why individuals unfollow brands on social media. But it lacks any reference to bots and automated follow / unfollow apps, and the focus on brands also scratches the surface of social media, which is driven by individuals. Also, it would have been more informative if they had compared the survey data to *actual* data. For instance, the number of people who *said* the unfollowed in the past week, compared to how many actually did.

Via Beth Dichter
Beth Dichter's curator insight, April 25, 2015 8:05 AM

When we think of ways to boost knowledge retention in our learners, what works for students that are online also works for students in face2face classes. This post from SH!FT provides seven ways to help student retain knowledge. The visual above illustrates the concepts. The post provides additional information as well as links to

#1 - When possible, use diagrams. Many people are visual learners. Consider using graphic organizers to provide "holistic views, expressing relationships, and identifying contrasting data."

#2 - Incorporate unique and out-of-the ordinary images. Why? Images stay with us longer, and the more unique, the longer they tend to stay with us.

#3 - Dish out sensory details. The more details that engage the learner the better.

#4 - Use color therapy. Color works on many levels. Color can be used to organize, to grab our attention, and it can impact our mood.

The last 3 suggestions are below...but you will need to click through to the post to learn more about each.

#5 - Exaggerate.

#6 - Small bites, at one's own pace.

#7 - Spaced repetition.
