Hospitals and Healthcare
There are many challenges facing hospitals and healthcare in the modern world we are living in. I've created this curation collection to save articles that help me understand what modern health in society is.  The articles here are general in nature and placed here to promote discussion. We advise that you talk with your health professional before changing any of your medication or treatment options.  Any of the online courses listed here may (or may not) be open for access or enrolment. Most are free to browse, some may charge a small fee if you wish to receive a certificate or record of learning.   Every effort is made to ensure that these links are up to date and be aware that some of these articles may be behind a 'paywall'. If you can’t get into an article, email me and I may be able to assist.  Views are my own.

Austin Health: Wellness Trolley boosts staff morale in the Emergency Department

Austin Health: Wellness Trolley boosts staff morale in the Emergency Department | Hospitals and Healthcare | Scoop.it

A 'Wellness Trolley' is being trialled for staff in our Emergency Department and has gone a long way in boosting morale.

"The idea of the trolley is to provide quick nutritious healthy snacks for when you're struggling to get to a meal break and have a spare minute to quickly grab something, or for when you need a quick pick me up and a time out from the floor,” Emergency Department Associate Nurse Unit Manager and Wellness Champion, Brittany Sole, says.

“ED is extremely busy at the moment - staff are stressed and some days you do feel burnt out but we are always trying to ensure we are looking out for each other and checking in, assisting each other when the workload is busy and most importantly, working together as a team."
