Most of us look forward to the transition from the short, cold and wet winter days to longer, warmer spring and summer days. However, for many of us, spring and summer also bring on challenges as grasses and trees pollinate in the warmer weather, setting off allergies affecting our nose, eyes and lungs. Hayfever (allergic rhinitis or allergic rhinoconjunctivitis) is not just a nuisance, but can cause significant misery with constant sneezing, skin irritation, runny or blocked nose, and itchy red eyes. This can affect our work, study, and sleep.
