The Dementia Enabling Environment Virtual Information Centre responds to the increased demand for enabling environments for people living with dementia.
"A well designed environment, planned with cognitive impairment in mind, can help to maintain abilities and enhance meaningful engagement through the inclusion of essential prompts, accessibility and reducing risks to support a person with dementia. A poorly designed environment can be confusing, disorienting and at worst, disabling and even dangerous for people living with dementia".
