Hospitals and Healthcare
There are many challenges facing hospitals and healthcare in the modern world we are living in. I've created this curation collection to save articles that help me understand what modern health in society is.  The articles here are general in nature and placed here to promote discussion. We advise that you talk with your health professional before changing any of your medication or treatment options.  Any of the online courses listed here may (or may not) be open for access or enrolment. Most are free to browse, some may charge a small fee if you wish to receive a certificate or record of learning.   Every effort is made to ensure that these links are up to date and be aware that some of these articles may be behind a 'paywall'. If you can’t get into an article, email me and I may be able to assist.  Views are my own.

What's New in the Project?

We're excited to reveal new video scenarios now available in two of our existing modules:
Patient-Centred Communication and Shared Decision Making: (A Team Approach). Sometimes patient wishes can challenge health care professionals. In this film a Speech Pathologist and Nurse show how a team approach can help each other to uphold the patient’s decisions about eating and drinking.

Planning End-of-Life Care - (Goals of Care: Occupational Therapy and Discharge Planning). Negotiating goals of care can happen at any time, with a range of health care professionals. In this film Sue, an Occupational Therapist, is preparing Bill, the patient, for discharge. Bill's wife, Ann, is very concerned about having him at home. Watch this video to see how Sue practices initially, and how she reflects and then changes her practice to listen to Ann discussing her concerns.

Two more new scenarios will be released in April!
