It's sad that Sebastian Thrun is being quoted as saying that MOOCs are a “lousy product”. As any technological educator knows, it's not the technology, but how you use it.
If you don't take some time to consider how you are going to use the technology to enrich the learning experience then of course it won't work. Just providing material on a system for people to digest is never going to be as effective as meaningful learning activites.
Don't blame the system Sebastian, think about the learning design!
