New research suggests that muscle power is an integral element of overall health.
Power = Strength X Speed. Powerlifting is not about power, as it is usually performed very slowly, so a high strength component but less power. Olympic lifting is performed more explosively and is more of a power movement. But even using slightly lighter weight and increasing the tempo of your exercise movement would develop some power crossover. As usual, variety is the key to success. I would suggest do a strength set and do a power set. Tempo is the variant that has been neglected in resistance training for too long.

While I think it can provide inspiration to some people, I also wonder how many people just take that training routine and then apply it to themselves and expect to get the same results not appreciating that the training effect is very individual and that they may not have the same training base that the 'star' has developed.
