La storytelleuse et productrice, Sarah Koenig s'est détourné des codes classiques de narration anglo-saxonne, en créant une fiction interactive avec un personnage de narrateur. L'originalité du récit est que l'auteur elle-même n'en connaît pas l'issue. Donc aucun risque de spoiler, le suspense reste intact.
